Side A)

The upper zone of the vase shows Persephone with a sequence of women holding torches.

The decoration in the lower zone of the vase shows a procession of hoplites and horsemen.

Side B)

The upper zone of the vase shows a hunting scene.

The decoration in the lower zone of the vase shows a scene of military games, where on the left is the goddess Nike, ready to crown the winner of the race, and on the right is the coach of the two athletes.

The decoration with the anthems on both the upper and lower zones of the vase gives it a majestic style, such that it implies the high position that its owner held in ancient society.
